Two Clubs Join Race to Sign Maccabi Tel Aviv Defender Tyrese Asante

Tyrese Asante, a key defender for Maccabi Tel Aviv, is attracting growing interest from European clubs as he nears a potential transfer. Italian side Monza has reportedly reached an agreement with Asante, while Turkish club Kasımpaşa has also submitted an offer, viewing him as a concrete option to strengthen their defense. Kasımpaşa currently features Israeli player Omri Gandelman. Maccabi Tel Aviv is expected to demand a transfer fee between 3 and 4 million euros, a significant profit compared to the approximately 600,000 euros they paid to sign Asante in the summer of 2024.

Asante joined Maccabi Tel Aviv from ADO Den Haag in 2024 and quickly established himself as a reliable and talented defender. Over two seasons, he has made 90 official appearances, winning both the Israeli Premier League and State Cup. The Dutch defender, who began his youth career at Feyenoord and Sparta Rotterdam before playing 98 matches for Den Haag, is now aiming to advance his career by moving to a top European league. His contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv runs through the upcoming season, with an option for an additional year. Asante has also represented the Netherlands at the under-21 level, earning six caps.
