Two Clubs Join Race to Sign Maccabi Tel Aviv Defender Tyrese Asante

Tyrese Asante, a key defender for Maccabi Tel Aviv, is attracting growing interest from European clubs as he nears a potential transfer. Italian side Monza has reportedly reached an agreement with Asante, while Turkish club Kasımpaşa has also submitted an offer, making him a concrete target for their squad, which includes Israeli player Omri Gandelman. Maccabi Tel Aviv is expected to demand a transfer fee between 3 and 4 million euros, a significant profit compared to the approximately 600,000 euros they paid to sign him in 2024.

Asante joined Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer of 2024 from ADO Den Haag and quickly established himself as a reliable central defender. Over two seasons in Israel, he has won both the league title and the State Cup. The Dutch defender, who began his youth career at Feyenoord and Sparta Rotterdam before playing 98 matches for Den Haag, has made 90 official appearances for Maccabi so far. His contract runs through the upcoming season with an option for an additional year.

In addition to his club career, Asante has represented the Netherlands at the under-21 level, earning six caps. With his contract still valid, he is now aiming to take the next step in his career by moving to a top European league this summer.
