Maccabi Tel Aviv Starts European Campaign Against Sheriff Tiraspol with Ben Hamo and Noy in Lineup

Maccabi Tel Aviv begins its European season on Thursday evening with an away match against Sheriff Tiraspol, the Moldovan league runners-up. Despite losing the Israeli Premier League title last season, Maccabi secured the State Cup and qualified for UEFA's second-tier competition. The team aims to gain a significant advantage before the return leg in Batumi next week.

Coming off a confident victory over Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the Israeli Super Cup, Maccabi Tel Aviv's coach Kenny Miller reinstated players Tyrese Asante, Christian Blic, and Helio Varela to the squad but chose to keep the same starting eleven from the previous match.
