Israeli Settler Itamar Cohen Seriously Wounded in West Bank Terror Stabbing

Itamar Cohen, a 51-year-old settler and one of the pioneering founders of the Itamar Farm in the West Bank, was seriously injured in a stabbing attack at the Avraham Farm near Elon Moreh on Thursday. Cohen was assisting in extinguishing a fire, reportedly set by Palestinians from the nearby village of Beit Furik, when he was stabbed. Emergency medical teams and the IDF provided life-saving treatment and evacuated him by helicopter to a hospital while he was conscious.

Two assailants were killed at the scene by a civilian present during the attack. Following the incident, Israeli security forces imposed a lockdown on Beit Furik and launched an investigation. Yossi Dagan, head of the Shomron Regional Council, condemned the attack as a "serious terror event" and urged the government to respond with a "firm fist" against terrorism and incitement, affirming the settlers' resolve to remain in the area.

Cohen's wife, Shakma, reported that he is conscious but in significant pain and emotional distress. The settlement farm association expressed solidarity with Cohen's family and called for prayers for his full recovery and for the rebuilding of the Temple. They also emphasized the need for harsh penalties and zero tolerance toward arson and violence in open areas, calling for decisive action to protect farmers and volunteers on the front lines.
