Bnei Brak Chief Rabbi Honors Special Needs Students at Public Talmud Exam

This week, a public exam on Talmudic texts studied throughout the year was held at the "Otzarot HaTorah" kollell, part of the "Ohel Sarah" network. The event was graced by the presence of Bnei Brak's Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Landau, who expressed admiration for the students' knowledge, comprehension, and mastery of the material. The exam, conducted by Rabbi Yosef Eiger, featured students confidently and swiftly answering comprehensive questions across all studied topics, creating an intense Torah learning atmosphere reminiscent of major kollels.

At the conclusion, Rabbi Landau personally signed certificates for each student, emphasizing that the true achievement lies not just in completing study but in retaining Torah through understanding and internalization. A particularly moving moment occurred when Rabbi Landau stood to honor the students during the certificate distribution. Rabbi Aharon Polak, a member of the "Ohel Sarah" leadership, recalled a previous Torah reception event and noted, "Today we witnessed that the Torah truly lives here," describing the occasion as a joyous mitzvah feast.

Rabbi Shalom Genger, head of the kollell, highlighted that the exam reflects perseverance, dedication, and faith in the students' abilities, proving repeatedly that there are no limits to what can be achieved through Torah study. Following the exam, Rabbi Landau visited the kollell's unique postal delivery branch, operated by the students, praising their professionalism, responsibility, and dedication. He lauded the initiative for combining Torah learning with vocational skills and meaningful community integration.

Malka Weinberg, director of the "Ohel Sarah" network, stated that the event embodies the network's vision to enable every student to realize their potential and feel genuinely part of the Torah world, honoring the founders Rabbi and Rebbetzin Ginzburg's legacy. She expressed great pride and excitement over the students' achievements.
