Trump Warns Iran of Immediate Strikes on Tehran Over Strait of Hormuz Attacks

The United States has entered its eleventh consecutive night of extensive military strikes against Iranian targets. President Donald Trump issued a severe warning on Wednesday, stating that any attack on the Strait of Hormuz would be met with immediate military retaliation targeting strategic infrastructure deep within Iran, including bridges and power stations in Tehran.

The U.S. Central Command announced the completion of another wave of strikes early Wednesday, hitting Iranian military operation centers, naval capabilities, aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities, and logistical infrastructure. The stated goal is to further degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping through the vital Strait of Hormuz, a key international trade route. Over the past three months, Iran has attacked more than 30 commercial vessels in the area, endangering hundreds of innocent sailors and disrupting freedom of navigation. Despite the aggression, the U.S. confirmed the strait remains open, facilitating the passage of approximately 900 commercial ships and 450 million barrels of crude oil since early May.

Iranian reports indicate the U.S. strikes targeted multiple locations including Behbahan, Mahshahr, Bandar Abbas, Chabahar, and Bushehr. In response, Iran's Revolutionary Guards fired toward Gulf states, triggering alarms in Bahrain and Kuwait, escalating fears of a broader regional conflict.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio condemned Iran's regime for attempting to leverage control over the Strait of Hormuz as global pressure. He urged the international community to share the responsibility of protecting shipping lanes, emphasizing that the U.S. cannot bear this burden alone. Rubio criticized Tehran for diverting its wealth to terrorism rather than its citizens.

Meanwhile, mediators from Qatar and Pakistan have proposed a 10-day ceasefire to de-escalate tensions and explore resuming negotiations between Iran and the U.S., though Washington has yet to accept this offer. Iranian Interior Minister Asghar Momeni is expected to visit Pakistan with a special message from President Ebrahim Raisi regarding talks. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that Iran has fully understood U.S. tactics and is prepared accordingly.

In related developments, Hezbollah faces strategic isolation following the fall of Assad's regime and the closure of its supply routes through Syria. Yemen's Houthi movement is also reeling from a precise U.S. strike that eliminated 12 senior leaders, causing intelligence shock and forcing commanders into defensive underground positions.
