Slight cooling expected, but severe heat remains in the Jordan and Arava Valleys

Friday’s forecast calls for mostly clear skies through much of the day, with a slight drop in temperatures, especially inland. Heat stress is expected to be moderate to high across most of the country, and severe in the Jordan Valley and the Arava. The sea should remain suitable for swimming, although water temperatures are still relatively low at 25 degrees Celsius.

Over the next few days, Israel is set to settle into a typical summer pattern. Early mornings may be partly cloudy, but the skies should be clear during most daytime and evening hours. Temperatures on Sunday and Monday are expected to stay unchanged.
