National Security Minister Ben Gvir Vows to Rebuild Gilad Farm After Arson Attack

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir visited Gilad Farm in the West Bank on Monday evening following a severe arson attack that occurred there the previous Saturday. He was accompanied by Shomron Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, who showed Ben Gvir the damage caused by the fire. During the visit, Ben Gvir received briefings from the Judea and Samaria District commander, the Shomron area commander, and the Ariel station commander about the emergency operations center set up to handle residents' complaints. Fire and rescue commanders also updated him on the firefighting efforts that lasted many hours.

Ben Gvir stated that upon learning of the incident, he immediately coordinated with the Fire and Rescue Commissioner and the Judea and Samaria District commander, who deployed six firefighting aircraft. He noted that although they were prepared to activate additional emergency planes, it was not necessary. Yossi Dagan praised the police and firefighters for their bravery and dedication during the crisis, calling the event a "miracle" due to their efforts.

Both Ben Gvir and Dagan emphasized their commitment to restoring Gilad Farm. Ben Gvir praised the fire chief for his selfless actions during the fire, saying, "Whoever saves one life saves the world entire." Dagan thanked Ben Gvir for his leadership and cooperation, highlighting the joint efforts of military and emergency teams. He recounted how residents, even as their homes burned, promised to rebuild bigger and stronger. Dagan affirmed plans to expand and rehabilitate the settlement, expressing gratitude for the recognition of the arson as a terror attack and pledging continued support for the community's recovery.
