Morris Ozen Takes Over as Tiberias Coach Following Hodeda Suspension

Morris Ozen, the professional manager of the youth department at Ironi Tiberias, has been appointed as the interim head coach of the senior team following the suspension of Eliran Hodeda. Ozen will lead the team alongside fitness coach Ehud Ben Shoshan, both holding professional coaching licenses. Ozen is a legendary figure in Israeli football, notably for leading Tiberias from Liga Alef to Liga Leumit by defeating Hapoel Katamon, a unique achievement in Israeli football history.

Despite the coaching change, a strong mutual respect exists between Hodeda and Ozen, and Hodeda will remain with the club during his suspension, alongside technical manager Chen Sol. Ironi Tiberias is currently working to regularize the salaries of Hodeda, Sol, and four suspended players: Sambinia, Guy Hadida, Niv Gottlieb, and Kaltins, who are expected to rejoin the club after their suspensions.

The club has also announced significant salary cuts across the board due to recent events, including the loss of several sponsors. Management emphasized that most funds will now be allocated solely to players active on the field. Assistant coach Moti Krispil will continue in his role as he completes the hours needed to obtain his professional coaching license. Ironi Tiberias is set to host Bnei Sakhnin on Saturday in the first round of the Toto Cup.
