Morris Ozen Takes Over as Tiberias Coach Following Hodeda Suspension

Morris Ozen, the professional manager of the youth department at Ironi Tiberias, has been appointed as the interim head coach of the senior team following the suspension of Eliran Hodeda. Ozen will lead the team alongside fitness coach Ehud Ben Shoshan, both holding professional coaching licenses. Ozen is a legendary figure in Israeli football, notably for leading Tiberias from Liga Alef to Liga Leumit by defeating Hapoel Katamon, a unique achievement in Israeli football history.

Despite the coaching change, Hodeda remains with the club during his suspension, continuing to collaborate with Ozen, who will oversee matches and training sessions. Technical manager Chen Sol will also stay with the club until his suspension ends. Ironi Tiberias is currently working to regularize the salaries of Hodeda, Sol, and four suspended players: Sambinia, Guy Hadida, Niv Gottlieb, and Keltins, who are expected to rejoin the team after their suspensions.

The club has announced significant salary cuts across all staff due to recent events, including the loss of several sponsors. Management emphasized that most financial resources will now focus solely on players active on the field. Assistant coach Moti Krispil will continue in his role as he completes the hours required to obtain his professional coaching license. Ironi Tiberias is set to host Bnei Sakhnin on Saturday in the first round of the Toto Cup.
