Hamas Planned Coordinated Terror Attacks Across Europe Targeting Jewish and Israeli Sites

A Swiss investigation by Neue Zürcher Zeitung reveals that Hamas has been working for years to expand its terrorist activities into Europe. The military wing of Hamas allegedly established a covert operational infrastructure across several European countries, including weapons caches, logistical networks, contacts, and sleeper cells intended for activation upon orders from the organization's leadership. German security authorities report that Hamas planned coordinated attacks targeting Jewish, Israeli, and Western institutions throughout Europe, timed for the second anniversary of the October 7 attack but were thwarted by intelligence operations, arrests, and raids in multiple countries.

Weapons caches linked to Hamas were discovered in Germany, Austria, Denmark, the UK, Greece, and Cyprus. In Austria, a weapons cache seized last year contained five loaded pistols, ten magazines, over 100 rounds of ammunition, and several explosives. Vienna likely served as a central logistical hub. A 39-year-old British man was arrested in London for connections to a weapons cache there, and four Hamas members were convicted in Germany related to the case. Additionally, 13 pistols, an AK-47 assault rifle, and more than 900 rounds were reportedly smuggled through Denmark, Germany, and Austria.

This investigation contradicts Hamas's previous claims that its operations are confined to Israel and Palestinian territories. Evidence shows the group has been building operational capabilities in Europe for years, including hidden arms depots and smuggling routes designed to enable rapid terrorist actions. The revelations coincide with federal indictments in Germany against Hamas operatives accused of locating and preparing weapons caches and establishing terror infrastructures across Europe. These preparations began years before the October 7 attack, indicating a long-term strategy to extend Hamas's operational reach beyond the Middle East.
