Taxi Driver Arrested for Stealing Credit Card and Defrauding Elderly Passenger in Tel Aviv
A 56-year-old taxi driver from Rehovot was arrested on suspicion of stealing a credit card from a 75-year-old passenger during a ride from a medical facility in central Tel Aviv. Authorities allege that the driver used the stolen credit card to make purchases totaling thousands of shekels while the passenger was still in the taxi. Instead of driving the passenger to his intended destination, the driver reportedly dropped him off alone in the northern part of the city. Following these allegations, an arrest warrant was issued against the driver on charges of theft and fraud.
