Man Found Naked in Ramat Gan Home Refuses to Leave, Claims It as His Own

A Ramat Gan family endured a terrifying ordeal when a man broke into their home, refused to leave, and claimed the house as his own. The incident unfolded on a Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m. when Eli Domtov, a father of four, returned from work to find the front door broken and a naked man lying in his marital bed, watching television. Despite Domtov's demands, the intruder refused to leave, insisting, "This is my house." The man had already taken over the home, eating sunflower seeds and leaving the place filthy.

The family had noticed strange signs in the days prior, such as lights and air conditioners left on and a hot iron found plugged in, initially attributing these to contractors working in the apartment. However, the growing evidence suggested someone had been entering and leaving the home repeatedly. The intruder provided a phone number, which revealed he had escaped from a psychiatric ward. The family, who returned to Israel four years ago after living abroad for 20 years, expressed shock and fear, especially since their children were not home during the intrusion.

Shoval Domtov, Eli's wife, described the distressing scenes inside the house, including the man soiling their sheets, and noted that none of the neighbors had noticed his presence. The couple believes the intruder knew their schedule and possibly entered through a window, breaking one door. Police arrested the suspect the following morning, but after a psychiatric evaluation, he was released as he could not be questioned at that time.
