Balcony Collapse at Jerusalem Bakery Traps Several, Rescue Underway
Emergency services including rescue teams, firefighters, and police responded to a balcony collapse at Angel Bakery on Keren Kayemet LeIsrael Street in Jerusalem's Rehavia neighborhood. Initial reports indicated five people were trapped under the debris. So far, four individuals have been rescued, including one critically injured and two with minor injuries. Rescue operations continue to locate and extract the remaining trapped person. United Hatzalah medical teams are providing treatment to conscious victims on site. Firefighters are working alongside rescue crews using engineering equipment amid concerns of further collapse. The cause of the balcony failure has not yet been determined.
