Three Young Men Arrested After Violent Disturbance on Plane at Ben Gurion Airport
Three young men, two brothers from Jaffa and their friend from Bat Yam, were arrested at Ben Gurion Airport after causing a disturbance on a foreign airline flight shortly before takeoff. According to police, the trio refused to comply with the flight crew's instructions and attacked officers who were called to the scene. The airline crew reported that the suspects' behavior raised concerns for the safety of passengers and crew, labeling them as potential threats during the flight.
When police boarded the plane to remove the suspects, they resisted arrest, leading to a violent confrontation. The suspects reportedly bit some officers and verbally abused them, including one suspect telling a female officer, "I hope you experience what happened on October 7." Four officers were injured and required medical treatment. Police stated they had to use force to complete the arrests due to the suspects' resistance.
The three were taken for questioning, and police intended to request an extension of their detention. However, despite the police's request for a nine-day extension, the suspects were released to house arrest. Their lawyer, Walid Kaboub, said the court found the suspicions baseless and accepted the suspects' claims, stating the allegations were unfounded and unrelated to reality.
