Violent Clash Erupts at Ben Gurion Airport Over Delayed Luggage

A violent confrontation broke out last Friday at Ben Gurion Airport's baggage claim area following prolonged delays in luggage delivery from two late-arriving flights. Passengers, frustrated by the wait and concerned about missing the start of the Sabbath, clashed with ground staff and security personnel. During the incident, a ground attendant and a security guard were assaulted. Additional armed security forces were called in and arrived with weapons drawn to regain control of the situation. The event was captured on video, showing the escalation and the security response. After the disturbance, complaints were filed with the police, and the Ben Gurion Airport police district, in coordination with the Israel Airports Authority, launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
