Baggage delay at Ben Gurion Airport sparks clashes before Sabbath
A disturbance broke out at Ben Gurion Airport on Friday night after passengers said they had waited too long for their luggage. According to the report, the confrontation began after flight delays and then escalated when passengers attacked a flight attendant and a passenger security guard.
Security staff were called in immediately, and police complaints were filed against the attackers. Videos circulated on social media showed passengers shouting curses while waiting for their bags.
The passengers said many of them observe the Sabbath and that the baggage delivery was delayed until after Sabbath began. Footage posted on Daniel Amram’s Telegram channel shows a group of young people fighting, clashing with security guards trying to bring the situation under control, and some participants ending up on the floor.
