Three Men Arrested at Ben Gurion Airport After Assaulting Police on Plane
Three young men in their twenties, two brothers from Jaffa and their friend from Bat Yam, were arrested on Friday at Ben Gurion Airport after allegedly causing a disturbance on a foreign airline flight just before takeoff and assaulting police officers called to the scene. According to police, the flight crew reported that the trio behaved in a manner that endangered passengers. Officers from the Ben Gurion Airport district boarded the plane and asked the men to disembark, but they refused. During the arrest, the suspects attacked the officers, resulting in injuries to four police personnel, some of whom were bitten. One suspect reportedly told a female officer, "I hope you experience October 7." Police stated they used reasonable force to subdue and arrest the suspects. The injured officers were taken for medical treatment. The three are expected to appear in court tomorrow, where police will request an extension of their detention.
