Man and Woman Drown in Separate Incidents at Bat Yam and Hadera Beaches Within an Hour
On the afternoon of July 26, two drowning incidents occurred within an hour at different beaches in Israel. The first incident took place at HaSela Beach in Bat Yam, where a woman in her 50s was pulled unconscious from the water by a lifeguard. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived promptly and administered prolonged resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and six electric shocks using a defibrillator. She was transported to Wolfson Hospital in critical condition while resuscitation continued.
Less than an hour later, around 5 p.m., another drowning was reported at the Fishermen's Beach in Hadera. MDA paramedics from the Sharon district responded quickly and performed advanced resuscitation on a man approximately 45 years old. His condition was also described as critical. Both victims received life-saving medical treatment on site, but their situations remain dire.
These back-to-back drowning cases highlight the ongoing risks at Israeli beaches during the summer months and the critical role of emergency responders in providing immediate care. Authorities have not released further updates on the victims' conditions or the circumstances leading to the drownings.
