Man Drowns at Hadera Beach, Woman in Critical Condition After Near-Drowning in Bat Yam
A 45-year-old man drowned at Hadera's Fishermen's Beach on Saturday. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams arrived at 17:13 after receiving the emergency call and performed advanced resuscitation efforts on the man, who was found unconscious, without pulse or breathing near the waterline. Despite their efforts, his death was declared at the scene. Senior MDA medic Anas Agbaria described how bystanders helped rescue the man from the water using a jet ski before medical teams took over.
Earlier the same day, at 16:56, a woman around 50 years old nearly drowned at the Rock Beach in Bat Yam. She was pulled from the water unconscious and without vital signs. MDA paramedics administered CPR, including six defibrillator shocks, and evacuated her to Wolfson Hospital in Holon in critical condition.
Additionally, at 15:39, an 18-year-old man drowned in a pool at Ein Bokek. He was airlifted by MDA helicopter to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba in serious condition, sedated and on a ventilator.
These incidents highlight a tragic day with multiple drowning emergencies along Israel's coast and inland pools, prompting urgent medical responses but resulting in one confirmed death and two critical hospitalizations.
