Maccabi Tel Aviv kicked off the 2026/27 season with a commanding 3-1 victory against Hapoel Be'er Sheva at Toto Turner Stadium on Thursday, securing their ninth Champion of Champions title in club history. The yellow-clad fans created a vibrant home atmosphere, celebrating with the players for over an hour after the match. Despite missing several key players, Maccabi dominated most of the game, showcasing excellent performance throughout.

Sgib Yehizkel starred with three assists, while Said Abu Farhi scored twice and repeatedly troubled Be'er Sheva's defense. Maccabi's defense also performed strongly.
