Israeli Forces Arrest Senior Activists Running Financial Network for Popular Front Terror Group
In recent weeks, a joint operation by the Israeli Border Police, Shin Bet, and the IDF led to the arrest of several activists involved in managing the "Union of Health Committees" organization. This entity was designated a terrorist organization in 2021 after being exposed as a key financial mechanism for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terrorist group responsible for attacks including the Ein Bubin bombing that killed Rina Shnerb.
The senior figures arrested include some PFLP operatives, detained following suspicions that the organization had resumed operations from its base in Ramallah. In recent days, indictments have been filed against some of those involved, with additional charges expected to be submitted soon.
