IDF Kills Hamas' Top Sniper Commander in Central Gaza Strike
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted an airstrike on Wednesday in central Gaza, killing Omar Ahmed Abu Qassem, the chief sniper commander of Hamas' military wing. Abu Qassem had been actively involved in orchestrating terror attacks against IDF forces throughout the ongoing conflict. Recently, he was working to rebuild Hamas' military capabilities and was advancing new terror plans against Israeli troops, violating the ceasefire agreement. The IDF Southern Command stated that its forces remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire and will continue operations to eliminate any immediate threats.
