Maccabi Netanya Sells Midfielder Freddy Vargas to Neftchi Baku for €650,000
Maccabi Netanya has agreed to sell Venezuelan midfielder Freddy Vargas to Azerbaijani club Neftchi Baku for a transfer fee of 650,000 euros. The deal follows renewed negotiations between the two clubs after Vargas, who was under contract with Netanya, refused to return to Israel due to the current security situation. Vargas had a strong season with Netanya, scoring five goals and providing eight assists in 34 appearances. Previously, he scored four goals and assisted eight times in 31 appearances for Netanya. The transfer marks the end of Vargas's tenure with the Israeli club as he moves on to continue his career in Azerbaijan.
