Maccabi Netanya Loses Christian Novacuo as He Chooses Qarabağ Over Israeli Club
Christian Novacuo, who had agreed to a two-year contract with Maccabi Netanya and expressed willingness to move to Israel, unexpectedly decided to join Azerbaijani club Qarabağ instead. His agent, Satu Hachmon, informed the club over the weekend of Novacuo's change of plans. Netanya was displeased with the situation, especially after being told in recent weeks that visa issues were delaying the winger's arrival. Novacuo was previously purchased by Sheffield United for 1.2 million euros. Netanya's owner, Ross Kastin, stated the club will seek another left winger to fill the position.
Ahead of their match against Hapoel Ramat Gan on Sunday, coach Roni Levy plans to rotate the squad. Players Bakary Konate, Maor Levi, Alon Azougi, and Giorgi Morozov are expected to get playing time. Basem Za'arura is suspended, while Omri Shamir will return to the starting lineup. Additionally, Dolev Haziza is set to be included in the squad for the first time and will likely receive some minutes on the field.
