Christian Novaccho Chooses Qarabağ Over Maccabi Netanya After Signing Agreement

Christian Novaccho, who had agreed to a two-year contract with Maccabi Netanya and expressed willingness to move to Israel, unexpectedly decided to join Azerbaijani club Qarabağ instead. His agent, Satu Hachmon, informed the club over the weekend of Novaccho's preference, disappointing Netanya officials who had been told in recent weeks that visa issues were delaying the winger's arrival. Novaccho was previously purchased by Sheffield United for 1.2 million euros.

Netanya owner Ross Kastin stated that the club will seek another left winger to replace Novaccho. Ahead of their match against Hapoel Ramat Gan on Sunday, coach Roni Levy plans to rotate the squad, with Bakary Konate, Maor Levi, Alon Azugi, and Giorgi Morozov expected to get playing time. Basem Za'arura is suspended, while Omri Shamir will return to the starting lineup. Additionally, Dolev Haziza is set to be included in the squad for the first time and is expected to receive some minutes on the pitch.
