Maccabi Netanya Targets Sheffield United Winger Christian Novacko
Maccabi Netanya is reportedly interested in signing 28-year-old winger Christian Novacko, who currently belongs to Sheffield United. Novacko was loaned last season to Bulgarian club Botev Plovdiv, where he scored four goals and provided two assists. Sheffield United acquired him for 1.2 million euros, and his contract runs through the 2026/27 season. Known for his speed and technical skills, Novacko has also scored in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers.
The club's new owner, Ross Kastin, aims to recruit young players with potential for future development, following a strategy similar to last summer's signing of a 20-year-old Novacko. So far this summer, Maccabi Netanya has signed Samo Silva, Alon Azugi, Dor Hugy, Grigory Morozov, and Nadav Nidam. Meanwhile, Wilson Harris, Li-On Mizrahi, Heriberto Tavares, Li-Yam Dan, Louis Hilf, Maksim Plakuschenko, and Yuval Sade have departed the club.
