Five-Year-Old Girl Dies After Being Hit by Car in Jerusalem

A five-year-old girl was fatally injured after being struck by a vehicle on Shmuel Salant Street in Jerusalem on Wednesday. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived quickly, finding the girl unconscious and without vital signs. Despite immediate resuscitation efforts and urgent transport to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital, medical staff declared her dead.

MDA paramedics Shimon Zaltz and Nachman Shai Ravivo described the scene, noting the girl was found near the vehicle with severe injuries and no pulse or breathing. They performed CPR and administered medications during transport but were unable to save her.

Earlier the same day, a pregnant woman died following a severe car collision between two vehicles near Ashdod port. The woman, in an advanced stage of pregnancy, was rushed to Assuta Ashdod Hospital in critical condition with multiple injuries. An emergency cesarean section was performed, and the premature infant was transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit in serious condition. Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts, doctors confirmed the mother's death. Four other individuals sustained minor injuries and were treated at the hospital.

Police from the Ashdod station and traffic accident investigators from the Lachish district are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
