9-Year-Old Girl Critically Injured in Jerusalem Hit-and-Run Incident

A 9-year-old girl was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle on Rabbi Shmuel Salant Street in Jerusalem on Tuesday. Emergency teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived promptly at the scene following a report received at 14:19 by the MDA 101 dispatch center. The girl was found unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and suffering severe bodily trauma.

Paramedics immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts including chest compressions, ventilation, and medication administration. Despite their efforts, the girl remained in critical condition as she was rushed to Shaare Zedek Medical Center. MDA emergency medical technicians Shimon Zelts and Nachman Shay Revivo described the urgency and severity of the situation, emphasizing their ongoing efforts to save her life.

The incident highlights the dangers pedestrians face in the city and the rapid response capabilities of Jerusalem’s emergency medical services.
