Israeli Toddler Drowns in Sharm El-Sheikh Hotel Pool, ZAKA Works to Repatriate Body

A tragic incident occurred in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, where a two-year-old Israeli toddler drowned in a hotel swimming pool on Tuesday evening. Medical staff at the hospital confirmed the child's death. Around 11:00 PM, ZAKA's international unit received the drowning report and immediately began coordinating with relevant authorities in both Israel and Egypt to expedite the necessary procedures for transferring the toddler's body back to Israel for burial.

ZAKA's Deputy Operations Director, Chaim Wingarten, stated that their international unit operates around the clock in such cases worldwide. He emphasized their continuous communication with all involved parties to support the family during this difficult time, ensuring the child's dignity and providing all required assistance to the bereaved family.

ZAKA continues to lead efforts to facilitate the repatriation process swiftly while accompanying the family through their ordeal.
