An Israeli toddler tragically drowned on Tuesday evening in a hotel swimming pool in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. The child was evacuated from the hotel to a local hospital where her death was officially confirmed. ZAKA, the Israeli emergency response organization, reported that its international unit is actively working to expedite the necessary procedures to repatriate the toddler's body to Israel.
Haim Wingarten, ZAKA's Deputy Operations Director, stated that the international unit operates around the clock in such cases worldwide. He emphasized their continuous coordination with all involved parties to assist the family and ensure the toddler receives a respectful burial in Israel as quickly as possible, while providing all needed support to the grieving family.
