Timouko Diarra Set to Join Kasimpasa After Leaving Hapoel Tel Aviv Move Behind
Timouko Diarra, once expected to be a major summer signing for Hapoel Tel Aviv, is now set to join Turkish club Kasimpasa instead. The Malian winger, who had been close to finalizing a deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv for a second stint in Israel, decided to leave his current French club Reims due to limited playing time. Reims agreed to the transfer terms, and the move is expected to be completed in the coming days.
Hapoel Tel Aviv had hoped Diarra's previous experience in Israel and his connection with captain Fernan Mayembo would help secure the deal, but negotiations ultimately fell through. Kasimpasa finished 13th in the Turkish league last season and will not participate in European competitions this year. Diarra played in France's second division last season, making 29 appearances with four goals and four assists.
