IDF Kills Two Hezbollah Commandos and Captures Another in Intense Battle in Bint Jbeil

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed two Hezbollah militants and captured a third during a fierce clash in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon. The confrontation occurred over the weekend when the Hezbollah "Radwan Force," an elite commando unit responsible for attacks against Israeli forces and civilians, opened fire on an IDF unit from the Yiftach Brigade. During the encounter, an IDF reservist was seriously wounded and evacuated to a hospital, where his condition has since improved.

The IDF forces, including a canine unit, engaged the militants in a building where gunfire was exchanged. The dog was injured and later died from its wounds. Following the assault, one militant was killed inside the structure, while another surrendered and was taken into custody for interrogation by Unit 504 within Israeli territory.

The IDF confirmed the arrest of the Hezbollah operative from the Radwan Force and shared footage of weapons seized from underground tunnels in Lebanon. This operation was conducted under the command of the 91st Division and the Yiftach Brigade as part of ongoing efforts to counter Hezbollah activities in the region.

The incident highlights the continuing tensions and military engagements along the Israel-Lebanon border, particularly involving Hezbollah's elite units. The captured militant is currently undergoing interrogation to gather intelligence on Hezbollah's operations and plans.
