IDF Investigates Dispute Over Killing of Terrorist in Southern Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) addressed claims made by soldiers regarding the killing of a terrorist in Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon. Some soldiers alleged that the operation was carried out by a commander and a fighter from Brigade 679, rather than by a female soldier from the Oketz Unit as initially reported. The IDF spokesperson confirmed that the entire incident, including the manner in which the terrorist was neutralized, is under thorough investigation.
The spokesperson emphasized that the investigation will examine all details and that lessons will be learned from the findings. Once the inquiry is complete, the IDF will present the results transparently. The spokesperson also noted that if any mistake occurred, it would be considered an unintentional human error made in good faith.
