Israeli Soldier Kills Hezbollah Gunman During Clash in Southern Lebanon
Israeli reserve forces from Division 91 operating in the Bint Jbeil area of southern Lebanon killed a Hezbollah gunman who opened fire on them during a building search on Tuesday. The incident occurred in the same building where a previous clash took place last Thursday, injuring a reserve soldier seriously. During the search, the Hezbollah militant fired at the Israeli forces, and a female combatant from the "Oketz" unit returned fire, killing the attacker. A military dog from the Oketz unit was also killed in the exchange. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated it will continue to act to neutralize threats against its troops and prevent Hezbollah from harming Israeli civilians.
