Illegal Tajik Resident Charged with Spying for Iran at Israeli Defense Sites

The Israeli State Prosecution has filed charges against Bakroz Shakharib Dudubayev, a 33-year-old illegal resident from Tajikistan, accusing him of espionage for Iran. According to the indictment submitted to the Tel Aviv District Court, Dudubayev provided sensitive information to hostile Iranian intelligence agents via Telegram in exchange for cryptocurrency payments. Between February and June, he was directed by Iranian operatives using the aliases "Anna," "Uri," and "Polina" to systematically gather intelligence on strategic and military infrastructure in Israel.

Dudubayev reportedly transmitted details about missile impact locations during Operation "Lion's Roar" and conducted reconnaissance photography at various sites, including Haifa Port and the Israeli defense company Elbit Systems, which develops and manufactures combat systems. These actions were intended to harm Israel's national security. About two months into his espionage activities, Dudubayev expressed fear of imprisonment and claimed to have completed his tasks. However, after being warned that refusal would sever contact, he agreed to continue his assignments for payment.

Additionally, Dudubayev actively participated in Iranian efforts to expand espionage networks in Israel by distributing dozens of fake job advertisements in immigrant neighborhoods of Ashdod and Tel Aviv, aiming to recruit others for similar missions. The indictment accuses him of security offenses including contact with a foreign agent, providing information to benefit the enemy, and delivering information with intent to harm state security.
