Israeli Captivity Survivor Alon Ohale Performs With American Musician on USS Nimitz for US 250th Independence Celebration

Alon Ohale, an Israeli captivity survivor, performed on the piano aboard the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier during the United States' 250th Independence Day celebrations. He played alongside American musician John Ondrasik, known by his stage name Five for Fighting, who is a longtime supporter of Israel. Ondrasik dedicated a renewed version of his hit song "Superman" to Ohale and other hostages. The joint performance took place on the flight deck of the historic carrier as part of the main events marking the American national holiday.

The event was attended by senior US government and military officials, including the Commander of the US Navy and the US Ambassador to the United Nations. During the official reception on the carrier's deck, Ohale and Ondrasik performed in front of thousands of attendees and an aerial honor flyover, highlighting the significance of the occasion and the solidarity expressed through the music.
