Jaffa School Principal Charged with Sexual Misconduct Against Teachers and Students

Mohammad Kaboub, 43, from Jaffa and former principal of the Almustaqbal school, has been charged with indecent acts and sexual harassment involving two teachers and four 12th-grade students. The indictment, filed on Thursday at the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court by attorney Sapir Sharon from the Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office, states that between 2020 and 2024, Kaboub sexually harassed two teachers under his authority. Additionally, between 2023 and 2025, he committed indecent acts against four senior students on multiple occasions within the school premises, exploiting his position of power.

Kaboub reportedly touched the victims against their will and made sexually explicit remarks. Alongside him, his brother Ahmad Kaboub, 47, and Ramzi Abu Taleb, 57, chairman of the charity committee and the Ajami neighborhood in Jaffa as well as a member of the Islamic Council, face charges of obstruction of justice and witness tampering. They allegedly pressured students and parents to sign false affidavits to dismiss the complaints. Ramzi exerted pressure on families, while Ahmad financed the affidavits and instructed concealment of his involvement.

The prosecution has requested to keep Mohammad Kaboub under house arrest, prohibit him from holding any educational roles, and impose a travel ban. In response, Kaboub denied the charges, asserting his innocence and framing the legal battle as a fight to uphold the integrity of a principled Jaffa leader dedicated to his community's welfare.
