Jaffa School Principal Charged with Sexual Harassment of Teachers and Students
The State Prosecutor's Office filed charges on January 17, 2026, against Mohammed Kaboub, 43, former principal of the Almustaqbal School in Jaffa, for multiple counts of sexual harassment and indecent acts. The indictment alleges that between 2020 and 2024, Kaboub sexually harassed two teachers under his authority, exploiting his position of power. Additionally, from 2023 to 2025, he committed indecent acts against four 12th-grade students on several occasions within the school premises, also abusing his educational authority. Kaboub reportedly touched the victims against their will and made sexually explicit remarks.
Alongside Mohammed Kaboub, his brother Ahmad Kaboub, 47, and Ramzi Abu Taleb, 57, chairman of the charity committee and the Ajami neighborhood in Jaffa as well as a member of the Islamic Council, face charges of obstruction of justice and witness tampering. They allegedly pressured students and parents to sign false affidavits to dismiss the complaints. Ramzi exerted pressure on families, while Ahmad funded the affidavits and instructed concealment of his involvement and the source of financing.
The prosecution has requested that Mohammed Kaboub remain under house arrest and be banned from holding any educational roles. They also seek to prevent him from leaving the country. The case is currently before the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, marking a significant legal step in addressing long-term sexual misconduct within the school.
