Jaffa School Principal Charged with Sexual Misconduct Against Students and Teachers

Mohamed Kaboub, 43, principal of the Almustaqbal school in Jaffa, has been formally charged with committing indecent acts and sexual harassment against two teachers and four 12th-grade students over several years. The indictment, filed by the Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office, alleges that between 2020 and 2024 Kaboub exploited his authority to touch victims against their will and make sexually explicit remarks. The misconduct involving students reportedly occurred between 2023 and 2025.

Alongside Kaboub, two other men are charged with obstruction of justice and witness tampering. Ahmad Kaboub, Mohamed's 47-year-old brother, and Ramzi Abu Taleb, 57, chairman of the charity committee and the Ajami neighborhood in Jaffa as well as a member of the Islamic Council, allegedly pressured families to sign false affidavits to dismiss the complaints. Abu Taleb reportedly exerted pressure on families, while Ahmad Kaboub financed the affidavits and advised on concealing their involvement.

The prosecution has requested to extend restrictive measures against Mohamed Kaboub, including continued house arrest, a ban on working in any educational role, and a travel ban. A gag order prohibits publishing any details that could identify the complainants. The case is now before the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court.
