School Principal Charged with Sexual Harassment of Teachers and Students in Jaffa

The Israeli State Prosecution filed charges on Thursday against Mohammed Kaboub, 43, the principal of the Almustaqbal school in Jaffa, accusing him of indecent acts and sexual harassment over several years involving two teachers and four 12th-grade students. The indictment, submitted to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court by attorney Sapir Sharon from the Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office, details offenses committed between 2020 and 2025. Kaboub allegedly exploited his authority to touch victims against their will and make sexually explicit remarks within the school premises.

Alongside Mohammed Kaboub, his brother Ahmad Kaboub, 47, and Ramzi Abu Taleb, 57, who chairs the charity committee and the Ajami neighborhood in Jaffa and serves on the Islamic Council, face charges of obstruction of justice and witness tampering. They reportedly pressured students and parents to sign false affidavits to dismiss the complaints, with Ramzi exerting pressure on families and Ahmad financing the affidavits while concealing his involvement.

The prosecution has requested to keep Mohammed Kaboub under house arrest, prohibit him from holding any educational roles, and impose a travel ban. The case has sparked significant public attention, with media commentator Amit Segal describing it as a "dramatic event."
