School Principal in Jaffa Charged with Sexual Offenses Against Teachers and Students
The Israeli State Prosecutor's Office filed charges on Thursday against Muhammad Kaboub, 43, the principal of the Almustaqbal School in Jaffa. He is accused of committing sexual offenses and harassment over several years against two teachers under his supervision and four 12th-grade students at the school. The indictment, submitted to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court by attorney Sapir Sharon of the Tel Aviv District Prosecutor's Office, details that between 2020 and 2024, Kaboub sexually harassed and committed indecent acts against the teachers by exploiting his authority. Additionally, from 2023 to 2025, he allegedly committed indecent acts against four students on multiple occasions within the school premises, including unwanted touching and making sexually explicit remarks.
The indictment also names Kaboub's brother, Ahmad Kaboub, 47, and Ramzi Abu Taleb, 57, chairman of the charity committee and the Ajami neighborhood in Jaffa and a member of the Islamic Council. They are charged with obstruction of justice and witness tampering. According to the indictment, they pressured students and their families to sign false affidavits to dismiss the complaints. Ramzi Abu Taleb is accused of exerting pressure on the families, while Ahmad Kaboub financed the affidavits and instructed to conceal his involvement and the source of funding.
The prosecution requested that the court place Muhammad Kaboub under house arrest and bar him from any educational roles. The article also briefly mentions an unrelated indictment against a gymnastics coach, Gur Levi, who filmed women in changing rooms and threatened them with a knife.
