Maccabi Tel Aviv is actively seeking a guard to improve their performance after a poor start to the EuroLeague season. French player Killian Hayes is reportedly the leading option, with the club pushing to finalize a deal quickly. Hayes has not played for several months, which could present a challenge for his integration into the team's rotation without causing overload.
However, Hayes' agent, Yan Bilizu, has dismissed the reports of an imminent transfer to Maccabi Tel Aviv, stating, "This is fake news. He is still a free agent and is exploring various options." Bilizu indicated that he is keeping all possibilities open for his client.
The team's urgent need for a player comes after a significantly disappointing opening to their EuroLeague campaign.
