Israeli Forward Dor Turgeman Excels in MLS, Earning Praise

Israeli forward Dor Turgeman is experiencing a surge in form in Major League Soccer (MLS), becoming one of the league's hottest strikers. Since the World Cup break, he has scored 10 goals in 17 games, including five goals in his last four matches. Turgeman recently netted a spectacular right-footed goal from the edge of the box in the 9th minute and added a second in his team's 3-2 victory over the New York Red Bulls.

His coach, Marco Mitrović, praised Turgeman's finishing ability and excellent kicking technique, noting that while the first goal was spectacular, he particularly appreciated the second, simpler goal. Mitrović explained that Turgeman is developing the ability to score these "simpler" goals, which are crucial for a long career. The coach also highlighted Turgeman's growth in understanding his role and positioning on the field.

Mitrović described Turgeman as a talented young player with immense potential, acknowledging that it took time to find the best way to coach him. He emphasized Turgeman's positive attitude, charisma, and enthusiasm, stating that they have found an effective communication method, which is reflected in the player's improved output. Turgeman himself credited regular video sessions with the coaching staff for his progress, expressing appreciation for Mitrović's approach.

Media outlets have also taken notice of Turgeman's performance. Theblazingmusket noted his talent, quick footwork, and ability to hold the ball with his back to the goal. The publication highlighted that while one goal would be a contender for goal of the year, the other showcased the beauty of simplicity. They observed that the 23-year-old is now a consistent scorer, a reward for his hard work. Teammate Will Sands also lauded Turgeman's fantastic technique and his improved ability to find good positions, translating his potential into on-field success.
