Two separate fatal road accidents in Israel have claimed the lives of two 18-year-old Israelis, Zohar Tamir and Yotam Avitan, and a 17-year-old girl. Tamir died in a crash on Route 6678 near Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu in the Beit She'an Valley, alongside a 17-year-old girl from Even Yehuda. Three other individuals were injured in this collision between two vehicles.

Tamir, a resident of Tirat Zvi, was on his way to drive friends of his younger sister when the accident occurred. He was described as a "wonderful youth" preparing for IDF service, having recently completed tryouts for elite units and aspiring to join a special forces unit. His uncle, Shachar Mor-Yosef, shared the family's grief, noting that they had just celebrated Zohar's 18th birthday according to the Hebrew calendar two days prior. Tamir's father, Odi, is a lieutenant colonel in reserve duty and founded the Tel Te'omim preparatory academy.

Less than an hour after the first accident, Yotam Avitan, 18, from Jerusalem, was killed in another road accident on Route 465 near the village of Kafr 'Abbud in the Benjamin region. Avitan was on his way home when his vehicle was struck by a trailer that had detached from a truck. He was described by his teachers as a "beloved and sweet child," known for his smile, athleticism, and volunteer work with youth movements.

Paramedics responding to the Beit She'an incident described finding a car overturned on its roof with two unresponsive individuals inside, suffering severe injuries. They pronounced both Tamir and the 17-year-old girl dead at the scene. Three other people, a woman in her mid-20s and two others, sustained moderate and light injuries respectively and were evacuated to HaEmek Hospital in Afula.

In the Benjamin accident, Avitan was found unresponsive with severe injuries and pronounced dead by medical teams. Two other individuals in the vehicle, a man in his 30s and another person, were injured with moderate and light severity and evacuated by the Red Crescent to a hospital.

The Himelfarb High School in Jerusalem, which Avitan attended, has suffered significant losses since October 7th, with nine alumni and one teacher killed or murdered. Among the fallen are Aner Shapira, Ben Zussman, Ariel Reich, Shachar Friedman, Dvir Brezni, and Hirsh Goldberg-Polin, who was abducted and murdered in Hamas captivity. Rabbi Avi Goldberg, who taught at the school and was Avitan's homeroom teacher, was also killed in combat in Lebanon.
