IDF Destroys Hezbollah Tunnel Network in Southern Lebanon, Massive Explosion Shakes Area

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) destroyed a large Hezbollah tunnel network near the village of Majdal Zoun in southern Lebanon on June 28, 2026. The explosion was so powerful that local residents initially thought it was an earthquake, prompting many to flee their homes. According to a joint statement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz, the tunnel system extended over 200 meters in length and was buried more than 25 meters underground.
