Maccabi Haifa Prepares to Negotiate with Omri Glazer if Giorgi Yermakov Is Sold
Maccabi Haifa is working to retain goalkeeper Giorgi Yermakov amid reports from Ukraine that the club demands at least 5 million euros for the standout Jewish-Ukrainian player. Despite the high asking price, Haifa is preparing for the possibility that Yermakov may leave the team. Due to significant interest in Yermakov, the club is already considering his potential replacement, Omri Glazer, who currently plays for Red Star Belgrade and the Israeli national team. If Yermakov departs, Maccabi Haifa plans to enter accelerated negotiations to bring Glazer back for a second stint at Sammy Ofer Stadium. Glazer previously played for Maccabi Haifa from 2016 to 2021, including a loan period at Ironi Nes Ziona, before transferring to Hapoel Be'er Sheva and then to Red Star Belgrade.
