Maccabi Haifa Sets €5 Million Price for Goalkeeper Georgiy Yarmakov's Return to Ukraine

Georgiy Yarmakov, the Ukrainian-Israeli goalkeeper who was a standout player for Maccabi Haifa this season, is likely to leave the club this summer. According to a report from Ukraine on June 29, 2026, Yarmakov has agreed to return to the Ukrainian league and join Metalist, which is currently negotiating with Maccabi Haifa for his transfer. However, the Israeli club has set a high asking price of five million euros for the goalkeeper. Yarmakov began his career in the youth system of Shakhtar Donetsk, advancing to their senior team in 2021. After a stint with Oleksandriya, he signed with Maccabi Haifa in 2024. Following a loan period, he returned to Haifa's squad last summer and has since made 37 appearances, achieving 12 clean sheets. The negotiations between Metalist and Maccabi Haifa are ongoing, with the transfer fee being the main hurdle.
