Singer Yuval Dayan Reveals She Was Harassed by Man with Restraining Order

Israeli singer Yuval Dayan revealed on Wednesday that she is the famous singer who has recently been harassed by a suspect who violated a restraining order against him. The suspect allegedly came to photograph her during a performance and also followed her. Dayan shared the incident on her Instagram account, stating that the matter is being handled by the police. She expressed her trust in the authorities to restore her sense of security.

"Despite being public figures, each of us has a completely private personal space, and the feeling is complex," Dayan wrote. She emphasized that everyone has the choice to decide what is acceptable and what crosses their boundaries. She added that she is learning from this experience that her desire to be pleasant and accessible must be accompanied by clear boundaries.

Dayan thanked her supporters for their encouragement, stating it is very strengthening. She asserted that security comes from within and does not depend on external individuals. The singer concluded by saying she looks forward to seeing her fans at upcoming performances.

It was reported on Tuesday that the suspect in the harassment case was arrested and later released under a restraining order. However, hours later, he allegedly attended Dayan's performance, sitting in the front row and photographing her. Authorities suspect he also went to the synagogue she attends in her hometown to confront her in person. In 2023, the suspect was issued a 20-year hospitalization order, which was reportedly still in effect.
