Maccabi Haifa Signs Brazilian Midfielder Bruninyo in Club's Third-Highest Transfer Deal
After more than six months of negotiations, Maccabi Haifa has secured the signing of 26-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder Bruninyo. The club announced on June 28, 2026, that they reached an agreement with the player, who will join the team pending medical tests. Maccabi Haifa paid 1.75 million euros to Ukrainian club Karpaty Lviv for the transfer, marking the third-highest transfer fee in the club's history. Bruninyo will earn a salary of 400,000 euros per season and has signed a three-year contract.
Bruninyo, standing 1.75 meters tall, impressed during two strong seasons at Karpaty Lviv in the Ukrainian league, scoring 17 goals and providing 8 assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.
